Know your self : knowing yourself is not as difficult as it may seems, you are the person you see in the mirror. Your priorities and ideology are awaken subconsciously when you critic people (actions and motives). The choices you make are a reflection of you. The problem, however, is accepting your discovery.
Be true to yourself, the true you is the best you.
The real you is best for you, your family and associates. Don't try being someone else, this will make it difficult for you to achieve your gaols and be happy. Avoid relationships, places and activities that sincerely make you feel cheap, under-achieving or not worth the while, if complete avoidance is not possible, stay true to yourself in these circumstances.
Knowing yourself may be a journey, improving yourself is surely a longer one.
What ever you rejected in the past, which so far prevents you from being complete will be picked up, polished, shined and displayed as you improve yourself.
You are original and fit for purpose.

Self examination !
Self examination: This is surely for serious minded people some may say, or maybe you think it is time consuming. Believe me you are a serious minded person who has all the time in the world to do some soul searching. It is as easy as doing the next activity you have set out to do - eating, drinking, dressing, visiting and lots more.
Everyone is intuitively engaged in this exercise but with minimal result. It is hoped that after today, we will make the most of searching and understanding our motives and actions.
If you are not alarmed by your discovery, start again, mind you this is not meant to be an event but a continuous process - daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal as desired.
Generally, evaluate the past as well as present experiences, choices, omissions and associations. You need to benchmark yourself against standards (like moral laws/obligations, bible, traditions) you personal uphold or believe in. it is also important to look up to chosen mentors in the society. In a nutshell build a picture of who you want to be and note deviations from this image. It will be useful to document your thoughts. Date and place should be included.
